Walmart attaches a digital receipt to every online order, and you can pull it up by signing into your Walmart.com account, opening Purchase History, and clicking the order — the email confirmation sent at checkout is a second copy of the same record. Where Walmart stores your Walmart.com order receipt
When you complete checkout on Walmart.com or in the Walmart app, Walmart sends an order confirmation email to the address on the account. That email lists the items, the subtotal, tax, shipping, and the grand total charged to your card. Treat it as the authoritative Walmart-generated receipt for that order.
Inside the account, every online order is also listed under Purchase History. Each entry shows the order status, the last four digits of the payment method, and the totals. Opening an individual order exposes the full itemized receipt, the shipping address, the delivery method, and the tracking link. The Walmart app shows the same Purchase History under Account then Purchase history on both iOS and Android, so the receipt is reachable from a phone as well as a desktop browser.
Guest checkouts (orders placed without signing in) do not create an account-side record. For those orders, the confirmation email is the only Walmart-generated receipt, and if that email was deleted or never arrived, the order has no Walmart-side documentation you can recover on your own. In that situation, the order confirmation from your bank or card statement is the next-best source of truth.
Walmart Pay receipts from in-store purchases are tracked separately under the Walmart Pay section of the app. They are not the same as Walmart.com order receipts, so do not look for them in Purchase History.

Build a Walmart online order receipt with Receipt Maker
Open the Receipt Maker in a desktop browser and complete the three input phases in order:
- Enter the merchant name (Walmart.com or Walmart), the payment date from the order, a receipt number you choose yourself so each saved copy is identifiable, and pick the display currency from the dropdown.
- Add each paid item from the Walmart order: type a short label, set the quantity (up to three decimals), and type the unit price (up to two decimals). Repeat until every line item is listed. What the generated receipt includes and what it does not
The finished receipt contains: the merchant name, the payment date, the receipt number you assigned, the display currency, every line item with its quantity and unit price, the subtotal, any discount, the tax amount, any tip, the final total, the amount tendered, and the change due. A compliance disclaimer is included automatically because the file is not an authenticated or fiscal document.
The receipt does not contain: a Walmart order number you did not enter, a digital signature, a verification QR code, jurisdiction-specific tax logic, or any record of the original card or bank transaction. It is not a fiscal receipt and does not satisfy legal recordkeeping on its own. Changing any field after generation clears the previous result, so an old receipt cannot be mistaken for output based on new inputs. Always create a fresh receipt after each edit, and compare it with the original Walmart confirmation before sharing it with anyone else.
