Privacy Policy

Lizely provides fast, free online tools. Most of our tools run entirely inside your web browser, which means the way we handle your data is deliberately minimal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your information.

What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site:

• Google sign-in details. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address, your name, and your profile picture URL. Signing in is optional.
• A session cookie. When you are signed in, we store a single authentication cookie so you stay logged in between pages.
• Server logs. Like almost every website, our server records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser user-agent, and request timestamps. This is used to keep the service running and secure.

Your files never leave your device. The tools themselves run locally in your browser. Any file you open, convert, compress, or edit is processed on your own device. We do not upload it, we never receive it, and we never store it.

We currently run no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking pixels.

Why we use your data (legal basis)

Under the EU and UK GDPR, we rely on these legal bases:

• Consent. We process your Google sign-in details because you actively choose to sign in. You can withdraw consent at any time by signing out and asking us to delete your account.
• Legitimate interest. We process the session cookie and server logs to operate, secure, and protect the service against abuse.

Cookies

We use only one strictly necessary authentication session cookie, set when you sign in. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

How we share data

• Google.When you sign in, Google acts as our authentication provider and processes your login according to Google's own privacy policy.
• Our hosting provider. Server logs are handled by the infrastructure that runs the site, on our behalf.
• We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or any other commercial purpose.

How long we keep it

• Account details (email, name, picture URL) are kept while your account exists and are deleted when you ask us to remove your account.
• Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then rotated out and deleted.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR), you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to receive a portable copy, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for you to opt out of, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

Children

Lizely is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted where practical.
