How to use

About 3D Tetris

Tetris 3D is an original Lizely spatial block-well puzzle built for short, deliberate play rather than endless random survival. You work inside a compact three-wide, two-deep, three-high well. Every active piece contains exactly two connected cubes and begins on the top layer along the X axis. Before committing it, you can move it left, right, toward, or back and rotate it between the X and Y axes. Hard Drop lowers the piece until the next downward step would hit the floor or an occupied voxel, then locks both cubes at once. The rules are small enough to understand immediately, but the extra depth axis asks you to reason about complete horizontal slices instead of a single flat row.

A layer clears only when all six positions in its three-by-two footprint are occupied. After a clear, every surviving voxel above that layer moves down by one level, preserving its X and Y coordinates. Each cleared layer awards 500 points. The disclosed six-piece fixture has a reproducible perfect route: rotate each piece onto the Y axis, place the first three in columns zero, one, and two, then repeat those columns with the final three pieces. The third and sixth drops each fill and clear the floor, so the success state always records two cleared layers and an exact score of 1,000. You can choose other arrangements, but careless stacking may block the fixed spawn area and end the run.

The layer cards show the well from top to bottom, with separate slices for the spawn, middle, and floor levels. The active two-cube piece is highlighted before it falls, while locked cubes remain visible after placement. Coordinate and axis labels make every state inspectable, and the feedback line explains whether a piece simply locked, completed a layer, or created a deadlock. Keyboard players can use the arrow keys to move, R to rotate, and Space or Enter to hard-drop. The same actions are available as large touch-friendly buttons, so the full puzzle works on a phone without relying on hover or precision gestures. Repeated held-key events are ignored to keep each intentional input atomic.

Everything runs locally in the browser. There is no upload, account requirement, server simulation, hidden randomizer, paid attempt, or network-dependent opponent. Starting a new run restores the same six named pieces in the same order, which makes strategy repeatable and enables exact comparison between attempts. Pure game logic owns movement boundaries, rotation validity, gravity, collisions, locking, full-layer detection, compaction, scoring, completion, and loss. Illegal moves leave the complete prior state unchanged. Once the success or deadlock state is reached, later controls cannot mutate the board, so the result remains available for review.

This game uses an independently authored rule set and visual presentation for Lizely. It does not copy an official board, branded piece catalog, scoring table, or randomizer, and it is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any official Tetris organization. The familiar page name describes a three-dimensional falling-block idea; the actual fixture is a finite six-domino logic challenge with its own dimensions, target, controls, and deterministic verification path.

Tests compare every post-drop occupied cell and cumulative clear count, verify the exact 1,000 score, exercise illegal-action atomicity, confirm repeat-safe terminal freezing, and reproduce a three-drop spawn-block loss.

What is the reproducible winning route?

What causes a deadlock?
A run ends when the next fixed piece cannot occupy its two spawn cells, or when the six-piece sequence ends without clearing both target layers. Restarting restores the original empty well.
