Shadow Matching Game

Compare five original object specimens with shuffled silhouettes and complete the fixed catalog for exactly 1,000 points.

Privacy: your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser.

How to use

  1. 1.Study the colored object specimen, then compare only its outside shape with the three solid silhouettes.
  2. 2.Choose with a pointer or touch screen, or move among choices with the Arrow keys and submit with Enter or Space.
  3. 3.Match the Orbit lamp, Fin vase, Arch chair, Kite clock, and Leaf kettle; each correct card awards 200 points for exactly 1,000.

About Shadow Matching Game

Shadow Matching Game is a five-card visual catalog built entirely from original local SVG paths. Each card presents one colored specimen and three solid silhouettes. Your task is to identify the outline made by the same object. There are no photographs, downloaded images, emoji characters, licensed figures, generated assets, or network requests. The specimen names and every shape were authored specifically for this game.

The catalog contains an Orbit lamp, Fin vase, Arch chair, Kite clock, and Leaf kettle. They were designed with different outer boundaries rather than relying only on internal decoration. The lamp combines a circular shade, stem, and wide base. The vase has side fins and a rounded body. The chair uses an arched back, seat, and legs. The clock has a diamond case and hanging stem. The kettle combines a body, handle, spout, and leaf-shaped lid detail.

Each round uses a fixed three-option order that can be audited. The correct silhouette appears second for the Orbit lamp, third for the Fin vase, first for the Arch chair, second for the Kite clock, and third for the Leaf kettle. The order is deterministic on every restart. It does not become easier or harder because of a random draw, browser seed, previous score, or stored profile.

Choose a silhouette with a pointer or touch screen. Keyboard players can move through the three choices with any Arrow key and submit with Enter or Space. The current choice has a visible focus treatment, each button meets the 44-pixel target size, and a progress strip marks completed catalog cards. The shared game shell also provides Restart, best-score storage, and the double-Escape Boss Key.

A correct match awards 200 points and immediately opens the next fixed specimen. Five correct matches therefore produce exactly 1,000. One distinct mismatch is recoverable. Selecting the same wrong silhouette again on the same card is deduplicated and does not spend another error. A second different mismatch anywhere in the run closes the catalog until Restart.

Unknown silhouette identifiers and invalid cursor movement are strict atomic no-ops. Completion and deadlock freeze matching and navigation, so a terminal score cannot change after the result is shown. Restart creates the original first card, fixed option order, zero score, zero mismatches, and first-choice cursor. The visible feedback distinguishes a correct match, first mismatch, repeated mismatch, completion, and deadlock.

Independent tests restate all five object labels, card identifiers, option orders, and correct answer positions as literal fixtures. They verify unique choices within every card, deterministic restart, five 200-point approvals, repeat-error deduplication, two-distinct-error deadlock, illegal input, cursor wrapping, and terminal freezing. Expected answers are not generated by the reducer under test.

All processing remains in the browser. The result measures completion of these five disclosed fictional specimens only. It is entertainment, not a vision examination, developmental screen, accessibility diagnosis, educational placement test, or claim about a player's real-world recognition ability. No personal gameplay history is transmitted or stored.

Methodology & sources

Define five original SVG object identifiers and five literal three-choice card orders. Compare the selected identifier with the card's disclosed object identifier, award 200 for each exact match and exactly 1,000 after five, deduplicate a round-and-option mismatch signature, deadlock after the second distinct mismatch, reject unknown input atomically, and freeze terminal states. Independently restate every object, order, answer position, winning route, losing route, cursor boundary, and restart state.

Frequently asked questions

Are the objects or silhouettes taken from external images?
No. All five names, SVG paths, option orders, and answer mappings are original fixed Lizely fixtures rendered locally.
How are mismatches counted?
One distinct wrong silhouette is recoverable, repeating the identical wrong choice is ignored, and a second different mismatch closes the run.
Can I play without a mouse?
Yes. Arrow keys move through the three silhouettes, and Enter or Space submits the current choice.
