About Symmetry Puzzle

Symmetry Puzzle is an original coordinate game played on a six-column by four-row grid. A vertical axis runs between columns two and three when columns are numbered from zero through five. Every level reveals a fixed pattern on the left half. Your task is to paint the corresponding cells on the right half so the completed grid mirrors across that axis.

The mirror rule is fully disclosed: keep the row and replace the column with width minus one minus the original column. On this six-column board, column zero mirrors to five, one mirrors to four, and two mirrors to three. The reverse pairs are identical. The game does not infer symmetry from an uploaded image or use a model; it compares finite authored coordinate sets.

Five levels contain three, four, six, five, and six source cells. Each source set uses unique in-bounds coordinates entirely within columns zero, one, and two. Its target is a separately verified literal set in columns three, four, and five. The patterns are abstract local fixtures rather than letters, logos, copyrighted pictures, or claims about a standardized visual task.

Use the right-half cell buttons with a pointer or touch screen. Keyboard players move a visible cursor within the right half using the Arrow keys and press Space or Enter to paint. The cursor cannot cross into the fixed source half. Buttons and directional controls meet the 44-pixel target size. The screen reports level, painted count, source cells, current cursor, mistakes, feedback, and score.

Painting a required mirror cell adds it to the current target set. Painting an already completed cell is a no-op. A right-half cell that is not required creates one recoverable error. Repeating that same level-and-coordinate error is deduplicated. A different wrong coordinate creates the second distinct error and closes the run. Attempts to paint a source cell, unknown row, unknown column, fractional coordinate, or out-of-bounds position are strict atomic no-ops.

A level advances only when its painted target set exactly equals the disclosed mirror set. Each completed mirror awards 200 points. Finishing all five levels produces exactly 1,000. Completion and deadlock freeze painting and cursor movement. Restart restores the first level, its fixed source pattern, an empty target half, zero score, and zero errors. The shared game shell supplies best-score storage and the Boss Key.

Independent verification owns five literal left sets and five literal right sets. It separately evaluates mirrorColumn = width − 1 − column, confirms the six possible column mappings, checks unique and bounded coordinates, proves every expected target stays on the right half, and replays every level to exact completion. Separate paths exercise one wrong coordinate, an identical repeat, a second distinct wrong coordinate, source-side input, illegal input, cursor boundaries, restart, and terminal freezing.

All gameplay is local, with no account, upload, image analysis, API, timer, camera, or new dependency. The 1,000 score records completion of these five disclosed patterns only. This game is entertainment rather than a vision test, developmental milestone, educational placement, neurological screen, hiring assessment, or accessibility diagnosis.
