About Palm Reading Lines Guide

Palm Reading Lines Guide is an interactive location map for four conventional labels used in Western palmistry: Heart line, Head line, Life line, and Fate line. It helps a reader distinguish the relative positions of those labels on a simplified drawing. It does not read a palm, accept a photograph, score a hand, or turn physical creases into claims about a person.

The Heart line is shown as the upper horizontal line beneath the fingers. The Head line is the middle horizontal line below it. The Life line is the curved line around the base of the thumb. The Fate line is the vertical center line running toward the middle finger, and the reference notes that this line is not present on every palm. These are topology statements only: name, relative location, general direction, and the commonly absent flag.

Select any line with the four large buttons or activate the wider invisible hit area around a drawn path. The selected path receives a stronger visual highlight, while the result panel repeats its name, relative location, direction, and whether it is commonly absent. Every path supports pointer selection plus Enter and Space keyboard activation. A 48-unit SVG hit stroke preserves a touch target near or above 44 pixels even when the illustration scales down on a narrow screen.

The hand outline and line paths are original simplified SVG geometry. They are explicitly labeled illustrative rather than anatomical. Real hands vary, creases branch and overlap, and the drawing cannot establish that a mark on a specific hand is one of these conventional lines. The page never asks for camera access, file upload, hand measurements, dominant-hand status, age, gender, or other personal data.

The scope also excludes palmistry interpretation. Historical and modern sources contain incompatible reading orders and many unsupported claims about character, health, lifespan, relationships, career, illness, or future events. This tool does not reproduce those claims. It does not assign meanings, personality, medical significance, years, dates, event timing, predictions, forecasts, or advice. The array order Heart, Head, Life, Fate is merely a stable product display order and is not presented as a sourced reading sequence.

The evidence package uses Cheiro's public-domain Palmistry for All as the historical plate source, then independently checks the four names and relative locations against two modern guides. Only the shared topology is retained. Eight external fixtures cover four complete rows and four selection lookups. Table invariants require four unique IDs, unique complete rows, the fixed display order, allowed orientation vocabulary, and Fate as the only row marked commonly absent.

The pure lookup function accepts one of four IDs and returns its immutable reference row. Unsupported IDs fail instead of silently selecting another line. Tests deep-compare each location, direction, and absence flag, and separately inspect the component for the illustrative disclosure, keyboard handlers, 48-unit hit area, privacy statement, and the complete exclusion sentence.

The layout uses a responsive grid that stacks the illustration above the details on small screens. The SVG uses a viewBox and full-width scaling rather than fixed viewport pixels, while the information cards allow text to wrap. Buttons inherit the site's 44-pixel minimum height. Stable test identifiers cover the figure, paths, buttons, selected fields, and Fate-only note for end-to-end verification.

All interaction remains in the current browser tab. No hand image or selection is transmitted, stored, or added to a profile. The source links document why the four labels are placed where they are; they are not endorsements of historical health or fate claims. For a different cultural reference table such as rune names or tarot card identities, use the related static guides. Those systems are separate and should not be mixed into this location diagram.

Eight external fixtures bind complete rows and selection lookups; invariants enforce four unique rows, allowed directions, and Fate as the only commonly absent entry. Tests also lock keyboard activation, 48-unit SVG hit paths, illustrative labeling, privacy, prohibited interpretation, responsive layout, and stable browser identifiers.

Does this tool read a photo of my palm?
No. It accepts no photo, camera input, or personal measurement. The SVG is a fixed illustrative map of four conventional labels.
