About Daily Habit Counter

Daily Habit Counter is a small browser tool for making one repeated action visible across real calendar days. Pick a label such as Drink water, Walk, Read, Meditate, Study, Coffee, Vaping, or Smoking, or enter your own neutral label. Then press Add one when the action happens. The page records the number under the local date on your device and shows a current streak when there is at least one saved action on consecutive calendar days. It is intentionally more focused than a generic click counter: the preset templates prevent a collection of near-identical pages for every possible habit, while the streak answers the useful question of whether the action continued from one local day to the next.

The streak is based on dates, not on the size of a count. Recording three actions today still counts as one streak day, and missing tomorrow breaks the sequence even if earlier days have large numbers. The calculation follows the local calendar date reported by your device, including month and leap-year boundaries. A late-night action stays with that local evening rather than being shifted by a UTC timestamp. Add one increases today's record, and Undo one removes a mistaken action. If the daily count returns to zero, the day is removed from the history so empty days are not presented as activity. This makes the history useful for reviewing the days that actually contain a saved record.

The label templates are deliberately practical rather than prescriptive. They are shortcuts for personal organization, not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a judgement about a habit. In particular, labels related to smoking or vaping are record-only options. This page does not give health advice, cessation advice, dosage advice, or a claim about an outcome. A custom label can be used for a reading session, a household task, a practice routine, or another private repeated action. The product records only the number you choose to enter; it does not use a camera, microphone, location signal, account, or background tracking.

Daily history stays in this browser on this device. There is no sign-in, upload, cloud backup, or synchronization service. Clearing this site's browser data removes the saved record, and another browser or device starts with an independent empty history. If local browser storage is disabled or full, the open page can still show the action you just changed and explains that it cannot retain it. That boundary is intentional: a local habit note should never be presented as if it were safely backed up elsewhere.

When you want a file outside the browser, Export PNG creates a 1080 by 1350 image with the Lizely mark, a total, and recent local-day rows. The image has no web address and does not include your custom habit label, reducing the chance that a shared image exposes a personal note. Export CSV creates a spreadsheet-friendly file with Date, Actions, and the streak ending on that day. It has one row for every local day with a saved count. Both files are created directly in the browser with native canvas and Blob APIs; no record is sent to a conversion service.

Use Daily Habit Counter when the difference you need is a preset label plus a visible local-calendar streak. Use Online Tally Counter for an adjustable general click step, Workout Rep Counter for completed sets and rest timing, or Tasbih Counter for 33 and 99 round targets. Start by choosing a label, add an action when it occurs, and review the streak and dated history when you want a simple private record.

Frequently asked questions

How is the daily streak calculated?
A streak counts consecutive device-local calendar days with at least one saved action. More actions on one day do not add extra streak days.
Can I use this for smoking or vaping records?
Yes, as a record-only label. This tool does not provide health, cessation, treatment, or medical advice.
Will the history sync to another device?
No. It is stored only in this browser. Clearing browser data removes it and another device has a separate record.
