  4. Review the addition expression that follows the work list. The expression writes out the arithmetic the way you would on paper — for example, 400 + 6 + 200 + 5 — and ends with the total. This expression is the audit trail for the result and the proof that the sum was formed from the displayed letters.
  5. Confirm the method matches your intent. The result assumes standard mispar hechrechi, in which final forms keep their base values. If you specifically need the alternative mispar gadol method (where final forms receive 500 through 900), this page is not the right tool — it deliberately does not mix that variant into the answer.
  6. Choose Reset to clear the input, the result, and any validation message when you are done. The reset happens entirely in the current tab and removes nothing from any server or storage.

How Final-Form Letters Are Handled

When Kaf, Mem, Nun, Pe, or Tsadi appears at the end of a Hebrew word, the script uses a different glyph: ך, ם, ן, ף, ץ. Under the standard mispar hechrechi convention that the calculator follows, those final forms keep their base-letter values rather than receiving separate ones. The calculator makes that convention explicit by normalizing each final form to its base before scoring, and the work list shows the normalization so a reader can see exactly which form contributed which value.

The five normalizations are: final Kaf ך → Kaf כ, value 20; final Mem ם → Mem מ, value 40; final Nun ן → Nun נ, value 50; final Pe ף → Pe פ, value 80; and final Tsadi ץ → Tsadi צ, value 90.
