About Personal Month Number

A Personal Month number is a small piece of traditional numerology arithmetic. This calculator makes that arithmetic explicit: it first calculates the Personal Year from your birth month, birth day, and the digits of the target calendar year. It then adds the target month number and reduces the sum to a single digit from 1 through 9. Published Personal Month methods use the calendar month as January = 1 through December = 12 and reduce the final sum; they do not retain 11, 22, or 33 as master numbers at this stage.

That visible work is useful when comparing a hand calculation or checking why two inputs produce the same digit. The calculator accepts birth dates without a birth year because the cited Personal Month formula uses only the birth month and day. The target year is required because changing its digits can change the Personal Year before the month is added.

This calculator deliberately avoids those variable interpretations and implements only the shared, auditable arithmetic described by the cited sources. A useful verification habit is to separate the annual and monthly layers on paper. Write the reduced birthday component and reduced target-year component first, confirm the Personal Year, and only then add the numbered target month. January contributes 1, October contributes 10, and December contributes 12 before the final reduction. This staged view prevents the selected month from being confused with the birth month and makes a changed target year easy to audit. The same inputs always produce the same output; there is no random draw, current-date lookup, hidden timezone, or device-dependent step. If another source produces a different number, compare whether it preserves master numbers, uses a birthday-boundary year, or reduces the month before addition. Those are different conventions rather than evidence that this deterministic implementation changed its arithmetic.
