To check the result after you generate an LRC file with LRC File Generator, compare the complete preview with your inputs, inspect the first and last timestamps, download the .lrc file, and test it beside the exact recording in your target music player. That result is deterministic rather than automatically performance-aligned: each retained lyric line receives the next timestamp by adding your chosen fixed interval. The preview is the complete simple LRC text, and the download saves that exact text as UTF-8 without a byte-order mark. A clean check therefore covers three separate questions: Did the tool preserve the intended rows and metadata? Do the timestamp endpoints match the selected start and interval? Does the target player interpret the downloaded file correctly? Generation can create a structurally valid draft, but it cannot prove that real vocals follow equal spacing or that every player supports the same LRC features. Because the tool emits a conservative line-level [mm:ss.xx] subset, verification should focus on that promised format before any manual retiming.

What a Complete LRC Result Contains
A timed row consists of a bracketed [mm:ss.xx] value immediately followed by the preserved lyric text. Optional title, artist, and album values become [ti:value], [ar:value], and [al:value]. Empty metadata fields are omitted, and a blank line separates emitted metadata from the timed lyrics. The output does not add hour fields, colon-separated frames, three-digit milliseconds, enhanced word-level timestamps, karaoke duet markers, or player-specific extensions.
LRC is a de-facto family of formats rather than one universal specification. The simple timestamp form is documented by QuickLRC's LRC format reference, while Subforge's LRC time implementation confirms the minutes, seconds, and two-digit centisecond interpretation used by the generator.
Generate and Inspect the Result
- Enter the lyric rows. Supply 1–500 non-empty lines, using one line for each display event. The lyric block can contain up to 50,000 characters, with no more than 500 characters on one line. Blank rows are removed, Windows and Unix line endings are normalized, and disallowed control characters are rejected. Ordinary spelling, punctuation, capitalization, language, and copyright notices are not rewritten.
- Set the first timestamp. Use MM:SS.xx with two or three minute digits, exactly two second digits from 00 through 59, a period, and exactly two centisecond digits. The supported range extends through 999:59.99.
- Set the fixed interval. Enter a value from 0.01 through 600.00 with no more than two decimal places. The generator converts this value to integer centiseconds before producing any rows, avoiding floating-point drift during repeated additions.
- Add optional metadata. Title, artist, and album values are trimmed and limited to 120 characters each. They cannot contain square brackets or control characters, and empty values are omitted.
- Generate and read the complete preview. Check the metadata, first timestamp, last timestamp, lyric order, and every retained display line. If the calculated final timestamp would exceed 999:59.99, generation fails instead of silently truncating the file.
- Download the .lrc file. The saved file is the preview text in UTF-8 without a byte-order mark. A title supplies the filename when possible, unsafe filename punctuation becomes hyphens, and a blank title produces synced-lyrics.lrc.
- Test and refine the timing. Open the downloaded file beside the exact recording in the target player. Then use a dedicated LRC editor to adjust individual timestamps that do not match the performance.
Verify the Timestamp Sequence
Read the preview from top to bottom rather than checking only the first row. Use this checklist to separate valid file structure from timing that still needs manual adjustment.
| Item | Accepted input or output | Verification focus |
|---|---|---|
| Lyric rows | 1–500 non-empty rows, up to 50,000 total characters and 500 characters per line | Confirm that every intended retained line appears in the original order. |
| First timestamp | MM:SS.xx with the required digit and second ranges | Compare the first row directly with the start value you entered. |
| Interval | 0.01–600.00 with no more than two decimal places | Check that successive timestamps advance by the selected fixed interval. |
| Metadata | Optional ti, ar, and al values, each trimmed and limited to 120 characters | Verify the displayed values and whether the target player exposes those tags. |
| Range | Final timestamp no later than 999:59.99 | Inspect the final row; generation should fail rather than truncate an excessive time. |
| Format | Simple [mm:ss.xx] line timestamps only | Confirm that the file does not depend on unsupported enhanced-LRC features. |
Worked timestamp example: With a 00:12.34 start and a 2.50-second interval, convert the start to 1,234 centiseconds and the interval to 250. For retained rows 1–3, the formula is start_centiseconds + (row_number − 1) × interval_centiseconds. Substitution gives 1,234 + {0, 250, 500} = {1,234, 1,484, 1,734} centiseconds, rendered as [00:12.34], [00:14.84], and [00:17.34]. The sequence is fixed and reproducible because the interval is converted to integer centiseconds before row generation.
Compare the Saved Copy With the Preview
The download is not a second rendering pass: it contains the same complete string shown in the preview. For a direct comparison, open the downloaded .lrc file in a plain-text editor and inspect the metadata, first row, final row, and ordinary lyric lines. This confirms that the saved file retained the text and timestamps that passed visual review in the generator.
Check the filename as well, especially when several versions of a song lyric are saved together. If any input changes after generation, the previous preview clears. Regenerate the file rather than downloading an earlier result. Temporary download URLs are also revoked after direct use and when the tool unmounts, reducing the chance that an outdated temporary link remains active.
Test the File in the Target Player
Load the downloaded file with the exact recording and watch the first display, every lyric transition, and any metadata the player recognizes. This playback check matters because players can differ in their handling of metadata tags, timestamp precision, UTF-8 text, long minute values, and enhanced-LRC extensions. A file that displays correctly in one player may still behave differently in another.
The generator assigns a fixed interval because it does not listen to audio, detect speech, transcribe vocals, identify beats, or estimate performance timing. Treat the result as a synchronized draft. In a dedicated editor, move individual timestamps against the recording, save the revised file, and test that version in the same target player.
Fix Issues the Verification Reveals
- A line is missing: Check whether the source row was blank, because blank input rows are removed rather than emitted as timed events.
- The first lyric appears at the wrong moment: Recheck the starting timestamp, including its minute digits, seconds, period, and two-digit centisecond value.
- The sequence looks evenly spaced but drifts from the vocals: This is expected from fixed-interval timing. Retime individual lines in an LRC editor against the exact recording.
- The player ignores some timestamps or metadata: Confirm that the player supports the simple LRC subset and UTF-8 text. The generator does not create player-specific instructions or enhanced word-level timing.
- Generation fails near the end: The final calculated timestamp may have exceeded 999:59.99. Choose an earlier start or smaller interval where appropriate.
- The downloaded result looks outdated: Editing any input clears the old preview. Generate and download a new result after the change.
Know What a Successful Check Does Not Prove
A successful verification proves that the preview and download contain the expected deterministic simple LRC structure. It does not establish copyright permission, vocal accuracy, or identical behavior across every player. The tool only formats user-provided lyrics; it does not supply a lyric catalog or synchronization license. All content and timing arithmetic remain in the current browser tab, so lyric text is not uploaded to Lizely, stored in an account, or sent to an AI service. Reproduce and distribute entered lyric text only when you have permission to do so.
