Tile sizes, mixed orientations, and what to watch for
Each output tile keeps the exact dimensions of its corresponding source page. The tool does not normalize pages to Letter, A4, or any named paper standard, and it does not embed a paper-size lookup table. If your university portal delivered the slip at a custom page size, those dimensions are preserved on every tile. A landscape slip page therefore produces landscape sheets, while a portrait slip page produces portrait sheets, and a mixed slip is handled page by page.
There is no overlap, no trim mark, no bleed, and no registration mark. Tiles meet at their page boundaries, and the source artwork is clipped at each sheet edge. Most physical printers cannot print to the exact edge of the paper, so their unprintable margins can leave narrow gaps after assembly. Limits and pre-print checks before you commit ink
Print Poster PDF refuses empty files, non-PDF selections, files larger than 25 MiB, encrypted PDFs, damaged cross-reference data, and other unsupported documents with a visible error.
